Anxiety Attack!
Where to start…
I (and my Momma, Robin) met up with some extremely cool Get Stitchy! gals today, Karen & Sarah Lou. They were rockin’ out some gorgeous socks! We all met at Threadbear in Lansing, which I might mention needs to invest in a larger (read: visible from the road) sign! I actually had two projects in mind that I needed yarn for….didn’t help the process much. I walked in and was completely overwhelmed with the massive selection and proceeded to feel clammy and anxiety was taking over. At any rate, it was fun to just sit and watch everyone knit after I purchased my fiber goodies.
I have started my Rusted Root sweater (yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in Terracotta Canyon)…I am so in love with this sweater! But I think I need to lay it aside for just a bit (maybe just tonight?) so I can get started on those little boy blue sweaters. I am hoping to have enough yarn left over to make a matching pair of socks to go with the sweaters. I am also hoping to crank out an elephant and maybe at least one of his safari friends.
Ok, so I’ve gone a little link happy with this post! I will leave you with a picture of my Rusted Root progress:

renee, it’s coming along so very nicely…
and the color will be gorgeous on you! i’m so glad we got to meet up after the years of online-ness between us. i know the large slection and the handful of unknown knitters was cause for some nervousness, but i was so happy to get to chat and meet up face to face! can’t wait to see the sweaters and the elephant! tell your momma it was so fun to meet her, too!

Renee,
The central park Hoodie is deceptively easy. The shaping is the only minor difficult area of the pattern, but I took line by line notes and am having no problem with the shaping. I am having a problem being a dumbass though, I finished the back and the front left and went and started the right front without carefully reading the pattern and got 29 rows of 40 in before I realized that k2p2 rib is not what I should be doing but p2k2 rib so the cables will match the ribbing. So I would say its an easy cable pattern and I’m using cascade 220 that I got in Kalamazoo.
Also it was very nice to meet you as well.

I’m about to start this same pattern in the exact same yarn color. I googled it and came across your blog. It looks good so far. I can’t wait to start mine!
